Group Therapy
Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy where one or two trained therapists meet with several clients at the same time, providing a supportive environment to share experiences, learn from one another, and build skills that improve emotional wellbeing.
Groups can address trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and many other emotional or behavioural challenges.
Is This Relevant to My Concerns
Group work supports many goals.
Reduce feelings of isolation
Hearing others describe similar experiences can offer relief, validation, and a sense of belonging.
Improve coping strategies
Group members learn practical tools for managing emotions, stress, anxiety, or unwanted behavioural patterns.
Strengthen communication & interpersonal skills
Groups provide a safe space to practice boundaries, assertiveness, emotional expression, and active listening.
Process trauma, grief, or difficult experiences
Sharing experiences with others who understand can be grounding and healing.
Build insight and self awareness
Group conversations help individuals recognize patterns in their thinking and behaviour that may limit progress.
